The London Aikido Dojo was first opened in Bacon's College Sports Centre, Timber Pond Road, Rotherhithe, London. SE16 6AT on the 16th February 2000.  Over the past seven & half years the club has grown to become one of the largest Aikido clubs with in it's Association & the UK.

We are a recognised Aikido Developement Society club and hold membership of the BAB and the JAA.

Classes are held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings in the upstairs gym at Bacons College Sports Centre SE16 and every Sunday morning at the Tokei Martial Arts Centre in SE1.

The practice of Aikido can benefit everyone, regardless of age or gender. Anyone who attends regular well run classes, can enjoy and improve their health and fitness as well as learning new skills and body movement.

Some members

Aikido is essentially non-violent, encourages harmony and avoidance of confrontation.

The classes are aimed at all levels from beginner to advanced and everyone is welcome to come along regardless of level, fitness or experience.

We have Aikidoka that visit us on a regular basis from other clubs and associations.

The sports centre also has a fully equipped gym, showers, changing rooms and other sport facilities.

Ninety Six
"If you perceive the true form of heaven and earth, you will be enlightened to your own true form. If you are enlightened about a certain principle, you can put it into practice. After each practical application, reflect on your efforts. Progress continually like this."
