January Sessions at London Aikido Dojo

Written by

Since the start of the new year the classes have been a little up and down numbers wise at the main venue in Silverlock Tenants Hall

Monday and Wednesday nights sessions have been a little low in student numbers and have been focused on more personal training with around 6 or so students at the sessions.

Aiki-Kids session on Monday and Wednesday are seeing around 20 students at each session and if anyone want to help or get involved with teaching then talk to me and I will snatch your arm off :)

Tuesdays early session is currently a large group of Beginners that are making great progress and the later session with Pete has been a great workout for all that attend.

Thursdays early session with Simon is very popular with large numbers of students attending and late session with me has been working on basics

Saturdays weapons session and general class are also running well with great attendance

Sunday mornings with Robert at the Tokei are well attended, however some members need to work on arriving on time :)

London Aikido Dojo - Senior Grading

Written by

We are having a club grading on Sunday 24th November 2013. It is open to all club members who are eligible to grade up to and including brown belt (1st Kyu).

If you are interested in grading on this date please make sure that you have the required syllabus, minimum required hours and current membership.

Please check the individual learning plans and grading syllabus for your grade either at the club or download it from the website.

You should be working towards what is required for your level.

There is a regular open grading practice session running on Mondays from 8.30pm - 10pm which will allow students to practice anything they need for the grading and Tony will be available to offer advice if needed.

The main classes will run throughout the week and we will continue to deliver Aikido classes at our two venues where you will also get chance to practice as well.

Good luck with preparing over the coming weeks.

Tony

Monday night open training

Written by

Club grading on the 18th May 2013

We are all preparing for our bi-yearly club grading in May and we have an open hour for grading practice on Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30.

This is not a class but more training session in which you turn up and have run through what you need with a partner.

I will there to help out and give advice but not to teach for the whole hour.

If your interested then let the other students know and turn with a partner or take a chance on seeing who else is on the mat.

Remember were only 8 weeks away so no excuse to not be ready.

Tony
